Meet Janne Schjølberg (28) and Vegar Kirksæther (33), who will be living and running the experience-based business at Vestigården while the owners are away on a 10-month workation and inspiration trip around the world.
Originally from Trondheim, Janne and Vegar have recently moved back south after living in northern Norway. While they dream of one day having a farm of their own and becoming experience-based farmers, they’re now excited to try their hand at running things here at Vestigården.
Janne is a creative spirit with a passion for crafting memorable experiences—for herself and those around her. She loves good food, culture, and animals.
Vegar is a music enthusiast who plays several instruments. He’s a calm and grounded soul with a deep appreciation for the good things in life.

When booking Fuglekassehytta, you rent the entire cabin privately. The cabin is fully equipped and perfect for a relaxing stay surrounded by beautiful natural scenery.
How many guests can stay in the cabin?
The cabin sleeps up to 6 guests in three double bedrooms.
Does the cabin have a kitchen?
Yes, Fuglekassehytta has a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering, allowing you to prepare your own meals during your stay.
Is there a bathroom or shower in the cabin?
Yes, the cabin has a private bathroom with a sunken bathtub for extra comfort and relaxation.
Are dogs allowed?
No, dogs and other pets are unfortunately not allowed in Fuglekassehytta.

Where is Fuglekassehytta located?
Fuglekassehytta is located at Vestigården Lorvika in beautiful and peaceful surroundings close to nature, fjords, and hiking opportunities. The cabin is one hour from Trondheim Airport Værnes and 7 km from Sparbu or Røra train station. We are located midway between Steinkjer, Inderøy, and Verdal (18 km in all directions).
We’re big fans of local food and drink – the closer, the better! At our place, you’ll discover delicious treasures from the great producers in our neighborhood. Supporting local producers isn’t just a choice for us – it’s the obvious thing to do. After all, we’re located in the middle of Trøndelag, Norway’s very own pantry!
We believe in reuse, resourcefulness, and good old-fashioned common sense in everything we do. And throwing away food? That hurts our hearts a little.
