This autumn we're heading to New York for a school year – and this could be yours, at least for a while!
We are a small Norwegian family of three living in the middle of Norway - close to fjords, forest, local produce, culture and history.
We run a unique experience-farm with extraordinary accommodations in Fuglekassehytta ("Birdhouse Cabin") and a pop-up venue in Stabburet, hosting everything from intimate concerts to a pub and culinary experiences. The charm of a traditional Norwegian farmhouse, combined with the stunning natural backdrop, creates a setting straight out of a fairytale.
Now, we're doing something bold and nerve-wracking: renting out our farm and business while searching for the right people to take over Vestigården as we embark on an adventure in the big world.

Vestigården is located in Lorvika, Steinkjer, right in the heart of Trøndelag, Norway. The farm is about a one-hour drive from Trondheim Airport and 7 km from the nearest train station. The property consists of a large house called a "trønderlån," an L-shaped barn, a storage house (Stabburet), and a spacious lawn and garden. The farm offers a beautiful view of Borgenfjorden and Trondheimsfjorden.
The house features a kitchen, living room, TV-room, bathroom with a toilet, laundry room, four bedrooms, and a large entrance hall. The house has been recently renovated the last ten years. The farm has grain and forest, though the land is currently leased out. Stabburet has been converted into a space with a kitchen, toilet, stage, and bar spread over two floors.
The farm also offers unique experiences, including accommodation in the distinctive Fuglekassehytta (“Birdhouse Cabin”).
